Trio of Sweeps in Sunday SPL Action

All three South Penn doubleheaders on Sunday ended with sweeps by the home teams.  New Oxford, which played Mummasburg at the Mummasburg Sportsman's Association field but served as home team for both games, edged the Mets 3-2 in the opener before taking the nightcap 6-0.  Alex Emlet tossed a complete game for the game one win.  In game two, Matt Martin, Larry Baumgardner, and Conrad Miller each had two hits, with Dalton Haymaker picking up the victory on the hill.

Hanover racked up 22 runs in it's doubleheader wins over Littlestown.  The Raiders won game one 10-0 before outlasting the Dodgers 12-8 in the finale.

Brushtown beat Gettysburg by scores of 11-1 and 8-4.
